A Renewed Ontario Invasive Species Strategic Plan Now Open for Comments
Ontario is updating its approach to invasive species and your voice can help shape it.
A draft of the renewed Ontario Invasive Species Strategic Plan is now available on the Environmental Registry of Ontario, created to tackle the growing and increasingly complex challenges invasive species pose across the province. This openly aligns with our recent work in managing and preventing invasive species in our community.
The draft is open for public feedback during a 45-day comment period, from January 9 to February 23, 2026. If you’d like to learn more or share your thoughts on the proposal (ERO #025-1334), you can review the plan and submit comments through the Environmental Registry.
Your input plays a key role in strengthening policies that protect Ontario’s ecosystems.
