This year, 6 trees from Centre Wellington were selected by an expert panel of judges for our community to vote on. These trees were picked from Elora, Fergus and Aboyne because they represent that importance of preserving mature trees in urban communities. Large trees have a huge impact on our environment, culture and well-being and they deserve to be celebrated. The winner this year will be honoured with a ceremony in the fall and will move forward to be a finalist in the Ontario Tree Pageant. One lucky voter will also be drawn at random to win a $50 gift card to Magic Pebble Books and a brand new copy of “When the Forest Breathes” by Suzanne Simard.
